We learned about the American - Spanish war and imperialism. With the age of imperialism came the Monroe doctrine, the concept of Manifest Destiny and the foretelling fareware address of Washington.
This point in history in one of the most important; wars are ending, cities are building, the country is growing, and there is always this constant chaos that keeps America in the headlines.
