The White Mans burden is a poem about the struggles for equality and restorations of cultures destroyed by biased bigots. And the effect on the masses from imperialism. It's all about a separation of people and the superficial justification of ones dignity and pride and fake attributes to guide ones way. It's not just about benefiting another country socially or economically it's about the aftermath of these places.

We learned about the American - Spanish war and imperialism. With the age of imperialism came the Monroe doctrine, the concept of Manifest Destiny and the foretelling fareware address of Washington.
This point in history in one of the most important; wars are ending, cities are building, the country is growing, and there is always this constant chaos that keeps America in the headlines.
